Camp Requirements
Registration: This is the first step in signing a child up for the science camp. Register online by clicking the Register & Enroll link. You may download the registration form or request that a copy be mailed or e-mailed to you.
Enrollment: If you register online, please proceed to the next link to complete the Enrollment Form. If you mail, e-mail, or fax your registration to us, we will send you the enrollment form based on your preference on the registration form. The enrollment form can then be completed online, e-mailed, or faxed back to you.
Tuition balance: You may pay your tuition in full at time of enrollment. Or you may pay weekly, biweekly or monthly. There is no interest or additional charge for selecting this payment option. Indicate the amount you can afford for each payment, and the frequency of payments, on the enrollment form. All tuition must be paid before start of camp. Parents who cannot complete tuition payment before the start of camp should contact us at 877-541-2267 or by email at advisor@wowsciencecamp.org to make payment arrangements.
Drop-off: Camp opens at 9:00 AM every morning. Parents/guardians should drop off their children on time. Timely drop-offs allow campers to fully participate in the first lesson or activity of the day.
Pickup: Parents/guardians should pick up their children in a timely manner (within thirty minutes of end of day). Pickup must be by a parent or legal guardian. Authorization to release campers to another individual must be designated in writing. Authorization form is included in the enrollment packet. At the end of each camp day, parents must come inside the building to sign out campers, pick up any informative memo, and speak to a counselor or camp director if necessary.
Early drop-off and late pickup: Parents/guardians can drop off campers as early as 7:30 AM. Parents can drop off their children from 8AM without a surcharge. There is a $25 surcharge for every thirty minutes of early drop-off. The latest a camper can be picked up is 6:00 PM. There is an additional $25 surcharge for every thirty minutes of late pickup. Parents can pick up their children until 4:30 PM without a surcharge. These surcharges are to cover the additional cost of having staff start earlier than their normal schedule or work later than originally scheduled. Parents who anticipate early drop-offs and late pickups should check the appropriate box in the enrollment form.
Food: Lunch is provided at most camp locations. Lunch menu is typically distributed in the first week of camp. Children on special diet or who have special dietary needs or who should still bring their lunch.
Camp T-shirts: Campers will be given one camp T-shirt. Campers must wear their T-shirts for every field trip and on other designated days. Additional shirts can be purchased from the Camp Store.
Clothing: Campers are required to wear comfortable clothing and shoes (sneakers, please). Sandals with heels and flip-flops are not recommended for camp.
Parent/guardian input: We are open to suggestions, concerns, or complaints from families. Please speak directly with the camp director. You may also speak with your child’s counselor at an appropriate time. Please be aware that counselors and their assistants are instructed to focus on the care, safety, and well-being of campers at all times during camp hours. As a result camp staff may be too busy with the children to speak to parents between 9AM and 4PM.
