wow science programs

Wow Science offers multiple programs including Summer Camp since 2010!

After-school program

In addition to reinforcing what students learn in the classroom, this program is designed to stimulate and promote students’ interest in STEM. Age-appropriate hands-on projects in various science subjects, coding, technology and math are offered in the after-school program. Students in K-8 are eligible to participate in the program.

Summer Camp

Since our first summer camp in 2010, Wow Science has offered thrilling summer camps where students participate in various hands-on projects and experiments that expose them to many aspects of STEM. Our tech camp covers topics such as coding, robotics, introduction to 3D design, and introduction to virtual reality. Our science camp topics range from examining types of rocks to solving forensic problems, exploring alternative energy, building hovercrafts and lots more in between.

We typically pair our weekly camp themes with a field trip. Some of our previous field trip destinations include the National Museum of Mathematics (NY), The Franklin Institute (PA), Liberty Science Center (NJ) and the US Capitol (Washington DC). We have also had special guests in STEM fields visit our camps to speak with our campers. Some of our previous guests include Mr. Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz, former NBC’s chief meteorologist, and Dr. Derrick Pitts, chief astronomer at The Franklin Institute.
